West Hills Lemoore to host Central Valley North South All Star basketball game April 12

A trio of high school all-star basketball games are on the docket for Saturday, April 12 at the West Hills College Lemoore Golden Eagle Arena. Athletes from all over the Valley will play in the 2014 Central Valley senior North vs. South All Star Game.

A team referred to as the Elite Seniors Boys will play in an all-star contest beginning at 3 p.m. in the Arena followed by a girls’ All-Star game at 5 p.m. and the boys’ All Stars at 7 p.m.

Coaching the boys’ All Stars is former Lemoore head basketball coach T.J. Wilkins whose Edison team just won the Division I Valley Championship. Joining him the North team are two of his Edison players Daylon Potts and Tyquan Neal.

The South squad is coached by Sierra Pacific’s Derek Petty. The South Valley is well represented as teams like Bakersfield, Centennial, Liberty and Garces will have players representing them.

Lemoore’s C.J. Johnson will play as a member of the Elite Seniors squad at 3 p.m.

The girls’ All Stars are well represented by Hanford’s top players, Brooke Johnson, Madison Barnes and Justina Medrano and is coached by Redwood’s Jason Black.

The South team is coached by Kenny Gregory from Cesar Chavez High School in Delano.
