The Lemoore Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in the theft of a Hanford vehicle and speeding. On June 16, at about 1 a.m. a Lemoore police officer attempted to stop a 1994 Black Acura Integra in the 1100 block of N. Lemoore Avenue for traffic violations.

The driver fled at a high rate of speed and was able to evade the officer in a nearby neighborhood. The officer checked the area and soon spotted the vehicle abandoned in an apartment complex parking lot.

A witness observed three males flee from the vehicle and run in a northwest direction back towards N. Lemoore Avenue. Lemoore officers searched for the suspects but were unable to locate them. A license check on the vehicle revealed it was recently reported stolen from Hanford.

The driver of this stolen vehicle was observed purchasing items at the Lemoore Seven Eleven just prior to this incident. Police have released surveillance photos of the driver. If you know anything about this incident or can help identify the person in the photos please call the Lemoore Police Department at 924-9574.
