Some solid detective work over the course over nearly eight months has resulted in the arrest of a James Latrelle Young, who law enforcement officials is suspected of killing an Armona man on December 8th, 2013. It was on that date that Kings County Sheriff’s deputies found an unresponsive male, later identified as Jorge Arambula, dead from a gunshot wound.

Over the course of the last few months, Sheriff’s Detectives, along with Investigators from the Kings County Gang Task Force, detectives from the Hanford Police Department, and investigators from the Kings County District Attorney's office developed information into the arrest of Young and charged him for the murder of Arambula.

Young is currently in custody at the Kings County Jail on unrelated charges and was recently sentenced to state prison for marijuana sales.

Investigators developed information into the murder of Arambula through other recent investigations, leading them to the identity of Young through witness interviews and physical evidence.

Detectives believe they have also located the weapon used to murder Arambula which had been collected from a recent home invasion robbery investigation in Lemoore.

Investigators are looking into filing charges on other individuals who may have assisted Young in concealing the homicide.
