Hanford man arrested on suspicion of rape of Lemoore minor

Lemoore Police are investigating a possible rape, which occurred on Monday, July 28, at approximately 5:15 p.m. in Lemoore.  The Lemoore police received information that a 16-year-old female had been raped at a residence in Lemoore.

An officer interviewed the female, who reported that on Friday night, July 25, she was with a few friends in front of a home in Lemoore when they were approached by three males. The victim knew the suspect, a 19-year-old Byran Jackson of Hanford. According to the police department, one of the victim’s friends invited everyone to his house in Lemoore. One of the males from the group, the suspect, Jackson, went to the house with everyone else but the other two males did not.

When they arrived at the home, the victim reportedly ingested some pills. The pills had an intoxicating effect on the victim so she went into a bedroom by herself to lie down. While she was in bed, Jackson is accused of coming into the bedroom, getting undressed, and according to the victim, suspected of committing sexual acts against the victim’s will.

The victim identified Jackson. The investigation officer located Jackson at an apartment in Lemoore and took him into custody. Jackson elected not to give a statement to the officer and was booked at the Kings County Jail for on suspicion of rape of an intoxicated person. His bail was set at $50,000.
