Police arrest suspected child molester after he turned himself in at Lemoore Police Station

Lemoore police officers convinced a suspected child molester to turn himself in with the help of his family members. David Garcia, 53, of Lemoore had been accused of molesting a child two years earlier. The juvenile told officers that a family member had been inappropriately touching her throughout her childhood.

Police discovered that Garcia was suspected of the molestation. Garcia reportedly took his two youngest children and left them with family members in Hanford after discovering that his actions were being reported to the police. He then left the Kings County area and contacted a family member and admitted that the accusations were true.

With the help of family members, Garcia was persuaded to turn himself in Monday night at the Lemoore Police Department. He was booked into the Kings County Jail on child molestation charges. His bail was set at $200,000. The children in this case were located with family members and placed into CPS custody.
