Lemoore police arrest Lemoore man on suspicion of inappropriate behavior

A Lemoore police officer, on Monday, Oct. 6, was contacted by family members regarding an incident that involved a 15-year-old girl.

The female, now in her 20s, told the officer that a family member, 32-year-old Jose Luis Meza of Lemoore, had touched her inappropriately when she was about 12-14 years old.

She reported three separate incidents, including one incident that occurred in his residence. The victim reported that he grabbed her arm and took her to a bedroom, held her down on the bed, and touched her inappropriately. The victim did not report any of these incidents at the time because she was afraid it would ruin Meza’s family.

The victim in her 20s reported these incidents on Monday because a family member of hers, a teenage female, told her that Meza had recently called her and made inappropriate comments. The victim in her 20s feared that her family member would be Meza’s next victim so they both reported the incidents to the Lemoore officer.

Meza was interviewed and subsequently arrested for one count of annoying or molesting a child. His bail was set at $20,000.00. These cases are still under investigation by the Lemoore Police Department.
