The Lemoore varsity girls’ softball team is off to a good start. The Tigers came up with a run in the bottom of the seventh to beat to beat Tulare Union 1-0 in the season opener Feb. 22 in Lemoore. A pair of solid seasons came to an end this week. On Tuesday, Lemoore’s talented soccer team lost in the Division 3 semifinals 3-1 to Madera South, the division’s No. seed. In San Luis Obispo, the West Yosemite champion Tigers, despite a 30-point third quarter, fell victim to San Luis Obispo’s three-point shooters and fell 90-82 in the Division 2 semifinal game. The No. 2 ranked San Luis Tigers will visit Fresno on Friday (Feb. 22) to take on San Joaquin Memorial in the Division 2 championship game. Keep reading...
