A pair of longtime employees were honored October 25 for their contributions and dedication to Lemoore High School and its students. Anne Strong attended LHS as a student Tiger and then became a teacher. Strong, and Cathy Zaharris, the school’s library technician for the past 24 years, were honored by the Lemoore Union High School Board of Trustees as the district’s Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Year. Lemoore’s varsity football team will try and salvage what has been a disappointing 2018 campaign when the Tigers host the West Yosemite League-leading Hanford Bullpups in an updated Tiger Stadium Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers, after winning their first two games, have been winless since then, compiling a 2-7 record, a statistic that isn’t going to get them into the Central Section playoffs next week.
