The stage was set. It was a near perfect day to play tennis. A contingent of proud, vocal Lemoore students sat nearby, on a hillside marked by the school’s monument sign – a concrete monolith spelling out the school’s initials. The Tigers’ first attempt didn’t go too well as the Miners beat Lemoore 4-2 Tuesday afternoon in Lemoore. The loss dropped the Tigers to 1-5 in the West Yosemite League and 3-18 overall.
