Lemoore Police make arrest of Clovis suspect, charging him with murder

The scene was turned over to the Lemoore Police Department Investigations Unit and officers were assisted by the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force (KCMCTF).
The investigation revealed that the victim had been pursued by a dark-colored SUV and that the driver of the SUV shot at the victim while pursuing him in the vehicle. Investigators identified the suspect as Jose Immanuel Paez (36) out of Clovis.
On July 11, at 7:49 a.m. Lemoore Police Detectives and KCMCTF tracked Paez to the City of Kerman and arrested him. Paez was in possession of a loaded firearm and was booked at the Kings County Jail for PC 187- Murder. He also faces the following charges:
- Felon in possession of a firearm.
- Probationer in possession of a firearm.
- A person convicted of a violent felony in possession of a firearm.
- Possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
- Participating in a criminal street gang while in poss. of a firearm.
- Possession of a loaded firearm.
- Possession of a loaded firearm by a convicted felon.
- Possession of a loaded firearm while participating in a criminal street gang defined in subdivision (c) of Penal Code 186.22 under the street terrorism enforcement and prevention act.
- Felon in possession of ammunition.
- Member of a criminal street gang in possession of ammunition.
