Kings County’s annual remembrance of its fallen law enforcement officers was held Wednesday morning at the Kings County Government Center as local law enforcement and the public gathered to remember all those who had fallen in the line of duty.

In particular, officers and the public honored fallen Lemoore officer Jonathan Diaz, who died in 2019. He was one of several Kings County peace officers killed while in the line of duty.

This year was Lemoore’s turn to host the ceremony. Lemoore Chief Michael Kendall began the ceremony by welcoming the visitors.

Included in the somber ceremony were a riderless horse, a glove laying ceremony, and a 21-gun salute by a Naval Air Station Lemoore group.
