A contingent of Lemoore Naval Junior ROTC cadets, led by Lt. Cmdr. John Wolstenholme, just returned from Annistan, Alabama, this year’s home of the NJROTC National Marksmanship competition where senior marksman Lemoore High senior Aaron Dorfmeier managed to perform well.

Lemoore High School is home to one of the largest contingent of NJROTC cadets in the United States, and according to Wolstenholm, Dorfmeier, competing against 150 of the best young shooters in the country from Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps NJROTC units throughout the country, managed to finish 29th overall.

There are currently 240 cadets in the Lemoore High School NJROTC unit this year.

The reception for the shooters was held at the NASCAR Talladega Race Track’s Hall of Fame room on Saturday night.
