The only thing that could have made the 2014 Tiger football season any better was to win the Central Section championship. Unfortunately, Lemoore’s varsity squad had to settle for an undefeated West Yosemite League campaign and of course the league title. Lemoore ended up losing in the second round of the Division II playoffs to Dinuba High School. Keep reading...
It was nearly a perfect season in 2014. Only a season-ending loss to Dinuba in the Division II Central Section playoffs, kept the Tigers’ hands off the section championship trophy. As it is, Lemoore, boasting a dazzling display of talent, fell to 11-1 on the season, but had an impressive 11-game winning streak which culminated with a convincing victory over Hanford in the West Yosemite League final. Don’t blame a bunch of football players for moving a bit slowly at the 48th Annual Tulare-Kings All Star Football Game on Saturday, June 27 at Golden West High School’s Groppetti Stadium in Visalia. After all, the Lemoore Kiwanis Club, which co-sponsors the game with the Visalia Optimists, filled them all with hamburgers and hot dogs at the annual kick-off hamburger feed Wednesday, June 10 at the West Hills College Lemoore Golden Eagle Arena.
