The Kings Christian Crusaders can’t do much to top last year’s Central Section championship, particularly that final game against Fresno Christian, in which the Crusaders erased a 28-point halftime deficit to storm back and win the Central Section title 57-56. Keep reading...
Lemoore’s varsity girls’ tennis team is rolling right along. On Monday, against Hanford West, the Tigers easily got past the Huskies in a lopsided match, winning 9-0. The Tigers have won their first four matches in a row, three of them by 9-0 shutouts. Keep reading...
Lemoore’s varsity girls’ volleyball team is off to another good start, beating Sunnyside last week 25-19, 25-15, 26-24 in straight sets. While the Tigers are missing one of their most dominant players ever, Jessica Taylor, they still have an amazing stable of depth that could very well take them to another West Yosemite League title. The Lemoore Ladies Golf Club, again this year, has generously donated two checks to the girls’ golf team totaling $600. The Ladies Golf Club also came in and gave the girls a clinic on golf etiquette and reviewed basic rules of the game. It is especially helpful for our new players. The money went toward helping pay for uniforms, tournament fees, pull carts and golf umbrellas. Keep reading...

The West Hills College Coalinga Falcons will soon add a new member to their coaching staff for the upcoming season. Dwayne Wright, who played in the NFL from 2007 to 2010 and is himself a West Hills College Coalinga alumnus, will join the team as the Running Backs Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.
