UCLA is getting a bargain. Lemoore High School high jumper Michael Burke, on Saturday, won the state title in the high jump with a 6-11 effort at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. It took him three attempts, but he finally cleared 6-11 to win the state title. Keep reading...

Head Football Coach Robert Tucker, who led West Hills College Coalinga to a 10-1 record, a conference co-championship, and a post-season bowl game last year, has resigned. Tucker said he’s been offered the top coaching position at Los Angeles Valley College. Keep reading...
Lemoore’s varsity boys’ baseball team, going into the last week of the regular season, needed to win at least one of two games to earn a trip to the Division III playoffs. The Tigers managed to win both games, including a 12-3 win over Golden West on Wednesday which assured Lemoore of at least a .500 record and a playoff berth. Unfortunately the Tigers will were forced to hit the road on Friday for their playoff opener at Porterville High School. Despite jumping out to a 1-0 lead, Lemoore lost its playoff opener 5-1, ending the Tigers' season. Keep reading...
It was a tough week for Lemoore’s diamond teams. On Friday both the baseball and softball teams were blanked by Redwood High School. Despite a solid defense in six of seven innings, the Rangers managed to put together a four-run second inning to chase starting Lemoore pitcher Jake Hansen in the boys’ contest. Keep reading...
