Lemoore has an interesting history with Clovis. While the two teams haven’t met many times on the football field, the games in which they have battled, have always been interesting, including last year’s loss to the Cougars in Clovis. The two teams met in the playoffs in the eighties, and a team coached by Thom Sembritzki, that included former NFL player Charlie Jones, knocked a powerful Clovis squad out of the Valley playoffs 14-4. The Tigers lost a hard-fought 6-0 game to Bakersfield in the next round, and the Drillers went on to win the Valley title that year. Keep reading...
