Lemoore's varsity girls' soccer team held onto its share of second place in the West Yosemite League with a 4-2 victory over Hanford West Friday night. The Tigers are 4-2 on the year and trail Redwood, which leads the league with a perfect 7-0 record. The Tiger boys also won in a 1-0 decision over Hanford West. The boys are 3-4 in League play.

Despite goals from Lemoore’s Uly Vega and Hunter Ford, the boys’ varsity soccer team dropped its West Yosemite League opener Tuesday night 3-2 to Redwood High School in Visalia. The Tigers fell to 0-1 in the WYL and are 2-4-2 overall.

Lemoore High School’s varsity girls’ soccer program is joining forces with Lemoore Christian Aid for a season-long drive to help the needy in our community every home game this season. Lemoore's varsity boys' basketball team is on sort of a roll. After beating Hanford West in the West Yosemite League opener earlier this week, the Tigers beat Hoover 61-43 in the Holiday Invitational Tournament on Friday.
