University of Illinois redshirt-freshman Isaiah Martinez, a three-time state champion from Lemoore High School, won the 157-pound title at the 2015 Big Ten Wrestling Championships this past week. Lemoore's solid solid season came to an inglorious end Friday night, amid a second-half onslaught by Hanford and fan altercation that prompted a halt to playoff action. It has been a pretty good week for the varsity boys’ baseball team. Going into Tuesday's game against Selma, as part of the Central Valley Diamond Classic, the Tigers were 4-1 and got plenty of solid performances at the plate and on the mound.
