Reigning national wrestling champion Isaiah Martinez is determined to keep winning following a stellar season during which he won the national title at 157 pounds. Martinez wrestles for the Big Ten’s University of Illinois and on Sunday he improved to 8-0 on the season and continues a 50-match winning streak. Keep reading...
The entire season, Lemoore’s offense and defense dominated its opponents as it compiled a 10-2 mark, the only blemishes coming to top-ranked Clovis and Buchanan high schools. One of Lemoore’s most recognizable citizens passed away Saturday at the age of 89. Gene Martin was a longtime Lemoore resident, sports enthusiast and community leader who was born in Arroyo Grande and moved to Lemoore as a teenager, graduating from Lemoore High School in 1944. Keep reading...
