In Visalia, the boys turned on the afterburners to beat El Diamante 74-56 to improve to 15-2 and 4-0 in the WYL. Despite the scoreless tie, the Tigers are in the thick of the West Yosemite League title chase, holding on to second place behind powerful Redwood High School, which sports a perfect 5-0 mark in league play. Lemoore’s varsity wrestling team got back on track after a disastrous West Yosemite League opener a week ago against Redwood as the Rangers surprised Lemoore 49-26. The Tigers seemed to take out their frustrations on Golden West Wednesday night in the Lemoore High School Event Center, clubbing the visiting Blazers 66-12 to get themselves back in the hunt for another league championship.
