Summer of fun, Second Annual Bash, held recently at Veterans Park for kids and adults

When Summer is done, it's best to go out with a bang—or, in the case of Lemoore, a Bash. This time, the celebration of a great Summer of fun was held at Veterans Park on Bush Street on Saturday afternoon. The Second Annual Bash attracted several hundred children and adults to help with the season, a fond farewell and welcome to the school opening in two weeks.  For the latter, free backpacks were handed out to youngsters who stood patiently in line towards the end of the event. West Hills Community College District Celebrates Selection as a Parks California 2024 Route to Parks Grantee

West Hills Community College District (WHCCD) is thrilled to announce its selection as one of the 29 Parks California 2024 Route to Parks grant recipients. Now in its fourth year, the program aims to break down barriers to accessing state parks and foster a deep appreciation for nature among participants. WHCCD's project, known as the CATCH (Creating Access to California’s Heritage) project, is set to engage underserved, underrepresented, multi-generational, and "park poor" families in outdoor education opportunities.

Lemoore Middle College Physical Education Teacher Franky Ramos took a gaggle of local girls to the NorCal State Premier Four Cup in Livermoore recently where the talented local team took top honors in the prestigious soccer tournament. Lemoore’s varsity boys’ basketball team managed just five points in the final quarter and ended up on the wrong side of a 53-51 loss to visiting Hanford on Wednesday night in the Lemoore Event Center. Lemoore’s high scorer was Kaden Lopes, who tossed in 13 points. Kobe Green scored 11 in the game while Andrew Mora contributed 10 points in the narrow loss to the Bullpups.
